Edwards Marshall Volunteers Get on their Bikes

11 Employees from Edwards Marshall volunteered at the Tour Down Under supporting the Cancer Council.

edwardsmarshallC4C partnered Edwards Marshall employees with the Cancer Council (CCSA) to market the Cancer Council health message to the members of the public who enjoyed the Tour Down Under. As a result of their involvement as the Tour Down Under charity partner, the Cancer Council was able to raise close to $800,000.

CCSA is quoted as saying "they were very happy with the immediate response from C4C.  Placement of corporate volunteers was very fast and communication between C4C and CCSA was of a high standard.  Many thanks for assisting us to have a successful event."

Edwards Marshall employees found the experience enhanced the profile of their business and assisted with marketing opportunities.  It also boosted morale.  One employee stated "Good deeds for personal feelings".  Several employees also found that the experience increased their skills and knowledge base and was a great team building experience.

Hutt St Centre - SA Lotteries

huttstcentreStaff from SA Lotteries have partnered with the Hutt Street Centre in several ways.  They cooked and served a Christmas BBQ for the homeless and vulnerable residents of Adelaide.  This was carried out whilst the Hutt Street Centre kitchen was being renovated, hence taking some pressure off the Centre during a stressful time.

"The project provided a means for SA Lotteries staff to be more actively involved in the community and make a difference to the lives of needy South Australians in the lead-up to Christmas.  As SA Lotteries returns approximately .95 cents in every $1 it receives to the South Australian community, it was great to give our employees a hands-on experience to complement this focus."
